Murder investigation launched – Milton Keynes
Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit has launched a murder investigation following the death of a 19-year-old man in Milton Keynes.
Today (5/7), officers were called to Bradwell Common at 4.23pm by South Central Ambulance Service after they attended and found a man with injuries believed to be stab wounds.
The victim was taken to hospital, where he sadly later died.
The man’s next of kin have been informed, however formal identification and post-mortem processes are yet to take place.
One person has been arrested as part of our ongoing enquiries and remains in police custody.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Chief Superintendent Ailsa Kent of the Major Crime Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has sadly died this evening.
“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and would like to speak to anyone who was in the Eelbrook Avenue area of Bradwell Common, specifically near to or in the playground, between 3:30pm and 4.30pm and witnessed an altercation.
“We are also appealing for anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from around the redway running parallel to H5 Portway at around that time to review it and please contact us if you believe it may assist our investigation
“No matter how small it may seem, your information could be vital to our investigation.”

There will continue to be a visible police presence in the area, and we encourage anyone with concerns to speak with officers at the scene.
Swahili Day 2026: A Celebration of Unity and Joy!
What an incredible day it was! We are thrilled to share these highlights from Swahili Day 2026, held this past June 27th at the Conniburrow Community Centre.
This year, our theme was “Culture Awareness: Exploring Swahili Culture,” and it truly came to life as families and friends from across the region gathered to celebrate our vibrant East African heritage. From the mouth-watering flavors of our authentic BBQ and traditional dishes to the infectious energy of the Bongo Flava beats and dance performances, the atmosphere was nothing short of electric.
We were especially honored to be joined by our special guest, Milton Keynes Former Mayor, Mohammed Khan, who helped us celebrate the richness of Swahili culture.
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us, the vendors who showcased their talents, and the hardworking team who made this year’s celebration our biggest and most colorful one yet.
